The Industrial Liaison office was established at Swedish College of Engineering & Technology in 2017. The prime objectives of ILO are to create and enhance the required college-industry linkages in the form of various activities for the existing students and upcoming students of Engineering College.
ILO is arranging internships opportunities in summer vacations for students in different industries.
ILO is committed in collecting the topics of final year engineering projects of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering to arranging technical / practical help from the industries related with the projects. In a number of cases the industries have assigned projects to the university students with competent advisors from their organizations to help the students.
In addition, ILO arranges the study visits for the students and faculty at various industries and organizations to get the practical exposure of the industry after signed MOUs.
ILO also provides assistance to the organizations / industries in respect of Research and Expert engineering services through teaching faculty to address their technical problems.
ILO encourages the prospective Employers’ for “On-Campus” hiring and facilitate them to conduct Career Counseling Sessions, Presentations, Tests and Interviews for recruitment.
ILO has arranged Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) 2nd Meeting on developing Graduate Directories, arranging career fairs and pre-employment orientation programs for the graduating batches.
ILO is also coordinating and motivating the students to participate in International University student Conferences, Trainings, Workshops, and Seminars etc.
DIL promotes students to showcase their projects in Professional Expo, Shows and Fairs, SCET students have earned laurels and prizes recently in Re-Engineering Pakistan 2012 and PAPS 2013.
Director’s Message
I am Engr. Mushtaq A Khokher, Director of Industrial liaison. I have been working for this since 2017 in Swedish College of Engineering & Technology – RYK. I have served about 15 years in different national industries of Pakistan. As you know our community is facing lots of problems and is trying to fix those problems while we are actively contributing in society likewise, providing technical skills…. We provide internship program in our generation because they can learn practically. We have many links with renowned companies who’s provided best internship for our student.
Internships give students opportunities to apply what they have learned in the classroom, learn and practice appropriate workplace behaviors, build on strengths and address weaknesses, and discover future directions as they begin their professional careers. We also provide after arranging technical / practical help from the industries related with the projects. We are committed to produce Professional Engineers who start their career in a respect manner in the local industries or as well as Multinational industries all over the world.
