Swedish College of Engineering and Technology has organized an awareness training session on Fire Safety, First Aid and Bomb Disposal exclusively for faculty and students on February 08, 2022, at Swedish College of Engineering and Technology Shahbazpur Road, Rahim Yar Khan. Over 40 teachers and students attended the session, which included administration staff. They learned how to protect themselves from fire, and save lives through first aid techniques. Addressing the ceremony of the awareness session, Chief Instructor Khawja Ashiq Hussain said that Civil Defense Rahim Yar Khan is highly committed to providing basic health and First Aid facilities to maximum people of the country to deal with emergencies, hence for, a series of training/workshops are being organized at national and regional levels. He emphasized that first aid training is very important for educational institutes whether they are in the field or at home. Khawja Ashiq Husaain highlighted the importance of the subject and accidents, bomb blasts and other emergencies. These awareness sessions contribute imperatively in educating students about the basic techniques of first aid, and fire safety, as a result of which they can save many lives while protecting their own lives, he added. The Chief Instructor also urged the students to join hands with the Civil Defense and voluntarily serve to alleviate the sufferings of the weaker segment of the society.
